Windshield has a little star crack in it?

I bought a car recently and didnt notice it has a star crack in it. It's about an inch wide but it looks like its going to spider crack sooner or later. I heard theres something you can put on it to keep that from happening. Does anyone know what you can do?

A chip less than the size of a quarter can be easily repaired. Fill the void with a specialty resin, cure it with a UV light, and the your windshield is good to go. There’s a little more to it than that… your auto glass repair technician might use heat to draw the resin in, or a device mounted to the windshield that will force the resin into the crack or chip. After curing the resin, a razor is generally used to smooth out the windshield repair.

In the end, sometimes the damage will spread regardless of the skill of the auto glass tech. If the windshield cracks further, you should receive credit for the amount you spent on the repair when the auto glass shop installs a replaced windshield.

Call your local windshield repair man and tell him the problem, they have little stickers to put on the windshield that will stop the crack from spreading. It may cost $5-$10 bucks.
